Developers of Live Auction Clerk (Auction Management Solution):

Control Panel Live Auction Clerk was initially developed in 2001 by me for an Auction House in Upstate NY called The Vintage Manor, (vintagemanor.com). After developing a website for the Vintage Manor I started attending some of the Auctions and saw a definite need for a more efficient method of clerking the auction and checking out winning bidders. So I designed Live Auction Clerk ver. 1, a fairly simple and crude program, yet very effective and I ended clerking every Auction at The Vintage Manor for the next 5 years with it. Unfortunately The Vintage Manor Closed its doors in 2006 and this software has been sitting on the shelf ever since.

January 2009 I was approached by a gentleman, I have known for many years, that was opening up a new Auction House, The Carden Family Auction Services, in Amsterdam, New York. He hired me to develop a website for his new startup, www.cardenauction.com. He also expressed interest in Computerizing the Entire Auction Process. At the time he was looking for more features than what Live Auction Clerk (ver. 1) had to offer. After trying other Clerking Programs, he asked if I would further develop my program to meet his needs.

Needless to say, I pulled out Live Auction Clerk, Dusted it off and went to work on it. I stripped it right down and pretty much started over from scratch. I managed to pull it together for his first auction on February 8, 2009. There were a few minor glitches with some reports but other than that it worked great. It is fully functional but still needs to be improved and tested by someone other than me.

I would like to offer this software to other Auction Houses but I am not comfortable in doing so until it has been developed further with the help of anyone & everyone in the auction business. I am looking for Beta Testers to help improve on what?s already there, Assist in finding flaws & bugs, Critique the layout, Suggest additional features and offer any and all of your personal opinions that would make this a product you would want to use in your own facility. Your efforts will truly be compensated if you choose to use the final release at your live auctions.
